What is Thermage FLX?
Thermage FLX heats the deep dermis with radiofrequency, so collagen fibres contract at once and new collagen forms over the next 2–6 months. It is usually a single session with no downtime and works best for crepey, loosening skin and fine lines.
Thermage FLX is the fourth-generation Thermage system by Solta Medical. A treatment tip delivers monopolar radiofrequency through the skin while cooling and vibration protect the surface. The heat reaches the deep dermis and the fibrous layer beneath it, tightening existing collagen and triggering new collagen.
The FLX system measures skin contact and adjusts energy for every pulse, so treatment is more even and comfortable than older versions. Different tips are used for the face, the eyelids and the body.

Your treatment day
- Doctor consultation. We assess laxity, skin thickness and lines and choose the tip and shot count.
- Tip check. You see the sealed, genuine Thermage tip and its shot count before we start.
- Numbing. Numbing cream, or sleep sedation on eligible packages.
- Treatment. The doctor treats in a grid, with extra passes where you need more tightening.
- Booster and home. The skin booster in your package is done the same visit, then you go back to your day.
Aftercare
- Normal activity, make-up and work the same day
- Gentle skincare and daily sunscreen
- Skip strong exfoliants or retinoids for a few days
- Avoid saunas and very hot baths for 2–3 days
Possible side effects

How long does Thermage FLX last?
Skin feels tighter right away, and collagen keeps building for 2–6 months. Results commonly last about a year or longer, so many patients repeat once a year.
How many Thermage shots do I need?
Eye Thermage uses about 225 shots. For the face, 300 shots suits a first treatment or a smaller area and 600 shots covers the full face with extra passes. The doctor confirms the count at consultation.
What is a Thermage FLX Master Doctor?

Does Thermage FLX hurt?
You feel short bursts of heat, softened by cooling and vibration. We offer numbing cream or sleep sedation on eligible packages.

Thermage or Ultherapy, which is better?
