The short answer

How are forehead wrinkles treated?

Forehead wrinkles are treated with Botox when they appear with movement, and with fine hyaluronic acid filler or skin boosters when they remain at rest. Botox works in 3–7 days and usually lasts 3–4 months; many patients combine both for etched lines.

The frontalis muscle raises your eyebrows. Each time it contracts, the skin folds into horizontal lines, and over the years those creases deepen until they stay visible even when your face is relaxed. People who lift their brows to keep their eyes open, often because of heavy eyelids, tend to develop deeper forehead lines.

Botox reduces the muscle pull, so moving lines soften and etched lines stop deepening. Lines that remain at rest need the skin itself supported: a soft filler placed in the line, or a skin booster that improves thickness and texture over several sessions. Some patients also want a smoother, rounder forehead shape, which is done with filler on the bone.

Who it suits

  • Horizontal lines when you raise your eyebrows
  • Fine lines that remain at rest across the forehead
  • A flat or uneven forehead you want softly contoured
  • People who want a rested look with little downtime

Who should wait or choose another option

  • Low or heavy brows or hooded eyelids, where Botox can make heaviness worse; a non-surgical eye lift may suit better
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding or neuromuscular conditions (for Botox)
  • Skin infection or active inflammation on the forehead

Your visit

Your treatment day

  1. Doctor consultation. We check your brow height, eyelids and lines at rest and in motion.
  2. Plan. We agree Botox, filler, boosters or a combination, and the amount.
  3. Numbing. Ice for Botox; numbing cream for filler or boosters.
  4. Treatment. Botox takes minutes; filler or boosters take about 20–30 minutes.
  5. Back to your day. Small bumps or redness usually settle within hours.

Aftercare

  • Stay upright and avoid rubbing the forehead for about 4 hours
  • Skip saunas, hard exercise and alcohol on the day
  • Do not press on filler for a few days
  • Message us at 2 weeks if the brows look uneven

Possible side effects

Botox can cause mild headache, bruising or, uncommonly, temporary brow heaviness. Filler can cause swelling, bruising or small lumps; rare risks include blocked blood vessels, which need urgent treatment. The doctor explains warning signs at consultation.

Frequently asked questions

How much does forehead wrinkle treatment cost?

It depends on whether you need Botox, filler, boosters or a combination. Send us a photo on Instagram, ideally with your brows relaxed and raised, for an exact quote in English.

Will Botox make my forehead look frozen?

Not with careful dosing. We use enough to soften lines while keeping some movement, especially in people with lower brows.

Why do my lines still show after Botox?

Lines that are etched into the skin need support from beneath. A soft filler or a course of skin boosters usually helps those lines.

Can I treat my forehead on a short trip?

Yes. Botox has no downtime, and filler usually has 1–2 days of mild swelling. Allow about 2 weeks for the full Botox effect.

How long does the result last?

Botox usually lasts 3–4 months. Forehead filler often lasts longer, typically up to a year or more, depending on the product.

Is forehead filler safe?

It is commonly performed, but the forehead has important blood vessels, so it should be injected by a physician using careful technique. We discuss the risks openly before treatment.
