The short answer

What are glutathione injections?

Glutathione injections deliver glutathione, an antioxidant the body makes naturally, by intravenous drip or injection. Many patients use them as support for dull, tired-looking skin alongside brightening treatments; evidence for skin lightening on its own is limited, so we treat it as an add-on rather than a standalone fix.

Glutathione is made of three amino acids and is found in nearly every cell, where it helps neutralise free radicals and supports the liver. Levels can fall with stress, sun exposure, smoking and age. Given by injection or drip, it reaches the bloodstream directly. It is also thought to shift melanin production toward lighter pigment, which is why it is popular for skin tone.

Scientific evidence that injected glutathione lightens skin is limited and mixed, and results vary widely between people. For visible pigment such as melasma, spots or uneven tone, laser toning, peels and daily sunscreen do most of the work. Glutathione can be a pleasant, low-downtime addition to that plan, not a replacement for it.

Frequently asked questions

How much do glutathione injections cost?

The price depends on the dose and number of sessions. Send us a message on Instagram for a quote in English; prices exclude 10% VAT.

Will glutathione make my skin whiter?

Some people notice a brighter, fresher look, but evidence for real skin lightening is limited and results vary. For pigment, laser and sunscreen do most of the work.

How many sessions do I need?

It is usually given as a course of repeated sessions. The doctor sets the dose and interval based on your health and goals.

Is it safe?

It is generally well tolerated at sensible doses. We review your health first and do not recommend it during pregnancy or for people with certain medical conditions.

Can I have it during a short trip?

Yes. There is no downtime, and it can be combined with other treatments on the same day.

Glutathione or NAD⁺?

Glutathione is an antioxidant often chosen for skin; NAD⁺ is chosen for energy and cellular support. The doctor can advise which suits your goal.
