PDO Thread Lift in Cheongdam, Seoul
Dissolving threads placed under the skin give an immediate lift to the cheeks, jowls and smile lines, then support collagen as they absorb. Planned and placed by our physicians, with the thread count agreed before treatment.

What is a PDO thread lift?
A PDO thread lift places fine absorbable threads with small barbs or cogs under the skin to reposition sagging tissue and stimulate collagen. The lift is visible immediately, swelling usually settles within a week, and the threads dissolve over the following months.
Threads are inserted through a few tiny entry points with a fine cannula or needle. Their cogs grip the soft tissue, and the doctor gently pulls it upward and fixes it in a new position. Most lifting threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO) or similar dissolvable materials, so nothing permanent remains in the face.
While the threads absorb, the body forms new collagen around them, which helps the lifted position hold after the thread itself is gone. Different thread types suit different areas: lighter threads for the front cheek and under-eye, stronger threads for the jawline and mouth corners.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a thread lift last?
The visible lift typically lasts several months to around a year, depending on the thread type, your skin and how much sagging there was. Collagen formed around the threads helps the result last.
Is a thread lift painful?
The area is numbed with local anaesthetic, so most patients feel pressure and pulling rather than pain. Tightness for a few days is normal.
How much downtime should I plan?
Most people return to normal activities in 1–3 days. Swelling and minor bruising usually settle within a week.
Can foreigners have a thread lift on a short trip?
Yes, but plan at least a few days in Seoul afterwards so we can check you before you fly. Avoid booking it on your last day.
Is the price the same for foreigners?
Yes. Korean and international patients pay the same published price. VAT of 10% is added at payment.
Threads or Ultherapy?
Threads give an immediate mechanical lift; Ultherapy builds a gradual lift with no downtime. Our package combines Ultherapy Prime 400 shots with threads.
