What is ONDA Lifting?
ONDA Lifting uses focused microwave energy to heat the fat layer under the skin and the lower dermis, which reduces localised fat and tightens tissue without needles or incisions. Most patients plan a short course of sessions and see contour changes build over 4–12 weeks.
ONDA is a microwave device made by DEKA, an Italian medical laser company. Its Coolwaves technology sends microwaves through the skin while the surface is cooled, so the heat is concentrated in the subcutaneous fat rather than the top layer of skin. Heated fat cells are gradually broken down and cleared by the body, and the surrounding connective tissue contracts.
Because it works on volume and laxity at the same time, ONDA suits faces where heaviness, not only thin loose skin, is the problem: full lower cheeks, a soft jawline or a double chin. Energy is measured in kilojoules (kJ), and the doctor divides the total between areas according to your fat thickness.

Your ONDA treatment day
- Doctor consultation. The doctor checks fat thickness and laxity and decides the areas and kJ with you.
- Cleansing and marking. Areas are marked so energy is spread evenly across each zone.
- Treatment. The cooled handpiece glides over the skin; most patients feel deep warmth rather than sharp pain.
- Energy check. We show you the delivered kJ on the device before you leave.
- Back to your day. Redness and warmth usually settle within hours; make-up the same day.
Aftercare
- Normal activity and make-up the same day

Possible side effects

Frequently asked questions
How many ONDA sessions do I need?
Many patients plan 3 sessions about 2–4 weeks apart; our package includes a fourth bonus session. People with a small area of fat may be happy after one or two.
When will I see results from ONDA?
Some tightening can be felt early, but fat reduction shows gradually over about 4–12 weeks as the body clears treated fat cells.
Does ONDA hurt?
Most patients describe deep warmth that the doctor adjusts as needed. The surface of the skin is cooled throughout, and numbing is usually not required.
Can I have ONDA during a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. There is no downtime, so you can treat and fly the same week. For a multi-session course, ask us about planning sessions across repeat visits.
Is the price the same for foreigners?
Yes. Korean and international patients pay the same published price. VAT of 10% is added at payment.
ONDA or Ultherapy, which should I choose?
ONDA is better when fullness and fat are the main issue; Ultherapy is better for lifting thin, sagging tissue. Many patients benefit from both, and the doctor will advise at consultation.
