Sculptra in Cheongdam, Seoul
A collagen stimulator that restores lost volume gradually, for temples, cheeks and the lower face. Our physicians plan a course of sessions so the change builds slowly and looks like your own skin, not like a filled face.

What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your skin to make new collagen, restoring volume gradually rather than instantly. Most patients need 2–3 sessions about 4–6 weeks apart, and results can last two years or more.
Sculptra is a powder of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that is mixed with sterile water before injection. The water is absorbed within days, so the early fullness fades. Over the following weeks the microparticles trigger a controlled response in which your own fibroblasts lay down new collagen, thickening the deeper layers and restoring lost volume.
Because the volume comes from your own tissue, the change is subtle and progressive. That also means planning matters: the doctor treats broad areas in stages and reviews the result before adding more. Unlike hyaluronic acid filler, Sculptra cannot be dissolved, so a careful, conservative approach is important.
Who it suits
- Hollow temples or a gaunt look after weight loss
- Gradual volume loss across the cheeks and lower face
- Thinning skin and early sagging in your 40s and beyond
- People who prefer slow, natural change over an instant result
Who should wait or choose another option
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infection or a tendency to keloid scarring
- Lips and the area directly around the eyes
- Anyone needing an instant result for an event; hyaluronic acid filler is quicker

Your treatment course
- Doctor consultation. We map volume loss and decide how many vials and sessions you need.
- Preparation. The product is reconstituted in advance and numbing cream is applied.
- Injection. The doctor places the product in deep layers with a needle or cannula.
- Massage. You massage the area at home for several days to spread the product evenly.
- Next session. We review at 4–6 weeks and repeat until the planned volume is reached.
Aftercare
- Massage 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days unless told otherwise
- Expect initial fullness to fade within a few days; this is normal
- Avoid saunas, hard exercise and alcohol for 1–2 days
- Tell us about any lump that persists beyond a few weeks
Possible side effects
Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common for a few days. Small lumps or nodules under the skin can develop weeks later, especially with poor massage or superficial placement; they usually soften but can occasionally need treatment.

Results can last two years or more, depending on age, lifestyle and how many sessions you had.
Can I do Sculptra on a short trip?
One session fits a short trip, but most patients need 2–3 sessions 4–6 weeks apart. Many visitors start Sculptra here and continue with Juvelook or another session on their next visit.
