Which laser treatment do I need?
Laser treatments use specific wavelengths of light to target one thing in the skin: pigment, blood vessels, water in tissue, hair or tattoo ink. The right laser depends on your concern and skin tone, so a doctor should choose it after examining your skin.
Each laser is absorbed by a particular target. Pigment lasers break up excess melanin in spots and uneven tone. Vascular settings target the haemoglobin in visible vessels and redness. Fractional resurfacing lasers create microscopic treatment zones that renew texture and soften scars. Hair-removal and tattoo lasers target pigment in hair follicles and ink particles.
Choosing the wrong laser, or the right laser at the wrong setting, can cause burns or rebound pigmentation, especially on Asian and darker skin. That is why our physicians examine your skin first, check conditions such as melasma that need a gentler approach, and often combine lasers with boosters or home care.

How a laser plan works
- Doctor consultation. We examine your skin, ask about medication and sun exposure and identify the target.
- Choosing the laser. The doctor selects the laser and settings for your concern and skin tone.
- Preparation. Cleansing, eye protection and numbing cream when needed.
- Treatment. Sessions usually take 10–45 minutes depending on the laser and area.
- Aftercare and review. Sun protection and gentle care; progress is reviewed before the next session.
General aftercare
- Broad-spectrum sunscreen every day, especially after pigment and resurfacing lasers
- Gentle cleanser and moisturiser; pause retinoids and acids for a few days
- Avoid saunas, hot baths and intense exercise for 24–48 hours
- Tell us about blistering or darkening rather than waiting
Possible side effects
Redness, warmth and mild swelling are common after most lasers. Depending on the laser, there may be small crusts, flaking or temporary darkening or lightening of the skin. Burns and scarring are rare when settings suit the skin type.

Frequently asked questions
Which laser is best for my skin?
It depends on what you want to treat and your skin tone. Pigment, redness, scars, hair and tattoos each need a different laser, so the doctor chooses after examining your skin.
Is laser treatment safe for Asian skin?
Yes, with appropriate settings and sun protection. Asian skin has a higher risk of temporary darkening after heat, so energy, density and intervals are adjusted.
How much downtime is there?
Toning lasers and hair removal usually have none. Fractional resurfacing such as Fraxel typically means 3–5 days of redness and flaking.
Can I have laser treatment during a short trip?
Many lasers fit into a trip because downtime is minimal. Resurfacing lasers are better early in your stay, and courses of sessions can be continued on later visits.
How much do laser treatments cost?
Prices depend on the laser, area and number of sessions. Send a photo on Instagram and our English-speaking coordinator will give you a quote.
Is the price the same for foreigners?
Yes. Korean and international patients pay the same price, and an English-speaking coordinator helps with booking. VAT of 10% is added at payment.
