How to Fix Eye Wrinkles (Crow's Feet) in Seoul
Crow's feet are the fan of lines at the outer corners of the eyes. Our physicians relax the lines that appear when you smile and strengthen the thin skin around the eyes, so the result looks rested rather than frozen.

What causes crow's feet?
Crow's feet are caused by repeated squinting and smiling, which folds the thin skin at the outer eye, combined with collagen loss and sun damage. Lines that appear only when you smile respond best to Botox; lines visible at rest also need skin-strengthening treatments such as Eye Thermage, Rejuran or Re2O Fine.
The orbicularis oculi muscle circles the eye and contracts every time you smile, laugh or squint. The skin over it is among the thinnest on the face, so the folds set in early. At first the lines show only when you move; later they remain at rest as collagen and elastin decline.
Sun exposure, dry skin and smoking speed this up. That is why treatment usually has two parts: relaxing the muscle pull for 'dynamic' lines that appear with expression, and rebuilding the thin skin itself for 'static' lines that stay visible when your face is still.
Signs these treatments can help
- Fan-shaped lines at the outer eye when you smile
- Fine lines that now stay when your face is relaxed
- Crepey, thin skin around and under the eyes
- Make-up that settles into lines by midday
When to see a specialist first
- Eye infection, a recent eye operation or a drooping eyelid you have not had checked
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, when Botox is not given
- Neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis: Botox is not suitable
Four reasons crow's feet form
Smiling and squinting
The muscle around the eye folds the skin thousands of times a day.
Very thin skin
Eye skin is thin, so creases appear earlier than elsewhere.
Collagen loss
Lines that once faded now stay at rest.
Sun and dryness
UV and low moisture break down the skin and deepen fine lines.

How we treat crow's feet at our clinic
- Assessment. The doctor looks at your lines at rest and smiling, and at skin thickness.
- Plan. Botox for dynamic lines, skin treatments for static lines, or both.
- Numbing. Numbing cream for injections; Eye Thermage can include sleep sedation.
- Treatment. Precise, small doses placed by your physician to keep a natural smile.
- Review. We check at 2 weeks by photo and adjust next time if needed.
What to expect
- Do not rub the area for the rest of the day
- Avoid saunas and heavy exercise on the day of Botox
- Small bumps or bruises usually settle in days
- Botox effect typically lasts 3–4 months
Possible side effects
Botox can cause small bruises and, rarely, a brief change in smile or eyelid position. Injectable boosters can leave small bumps for a day or two. Eye Thermage may cause mild redness or swelling.

Frequently asked questions
Is Botox the best way to treat crow's feet?
For lines that show when you smile, yes, it is the most direct option. Lines that stay at rest usually need a skin treatment as well.
How much does crow's feet treatment cost?
Eye Rejuran starts at ₩250,000 and the Eye Thermage package is ₩1,300,000, excluding VAT. Botox is priced after consultation.
How long does Botox for crow's feet last?
Typically 3–4 months. Skin-strengthening treatments last longer but need a short course.
Will I still be able to smile normally?
Yes. We use small doses so the eyes still crinkle slightly when you smile.
Can I do this on a short trip to Seoul?
Yes. There is no downtime for most eye treatments; Botox takes 1–2 weeks to settle, so we check by photo after you fly home.
