The short answer

What is glass skin?

Glass skin is a Korean term for skin so smooth, hydrated and even that it looks almost translucent and reflects light like a pane of glass. Clinically it means four things working together: deep hydration, fine texture, small-looking pores and an even tone. For most patients a realistic plan is two to three booster visits 2–4 weeks apart, plus daily sunscreen and a simple routine.

Skin looks glassy when light hits a smooth, well-hydrated surface and bounces back evenly. Rough patches, open pores, dehydration lines and uneven pigment all scatter that light, which is why skin can look matte or tired even when it is healthy. Skincare products help the very top layer, but they rarely change texture or water-holding capacity deeper in the dermis.

Skin boosters work below the surface. Polynucleotide boosters such as Rejuran support repair, collagen-stimulating boosters such as Juvelook refine texture over weeks, and micro-dosed skin Botox can make pores and oiliness less visible. Combined in the right order, they improve the surface that light reflects from. Glass skin is a direction, not a filter: pores and fine lines remain, just less noticeable.

Who this plan suits

  • Skin that looks dull or matte despite a good skincare routine
  • Dehydration lines on the cheeks that make-up settles into
  • Fine, uneven texture or slightly open pores in the T-zone
  • Visitors with 1–3 weeks in Seoul who want a planned, gradual result

When to fix something else first

  • Active acne or inflamed breakouts: we treat these first with our acne care
  • Deep pigment or melasma, which needs a separate laser or brightening plan
  • Pregnancy, skin infection or an unexplained rash: see a dermatologist before any booster
The building blocks

Four things glass skin needs

1

Hydration

Water-binding boosters plump the skin so it reflects light instead of looking flat.

2

Texture

Collagen stimulation smooths fine bumps and dehydration lines over 4–12 weeks.

3

Pore appearance

Micro-dosed skin Botox reduces oiliness so pores look smaller.

4

Barrier & tone

Repair boosters calm the barrier, which helps redness and patchy tone settle.

Your visit

Your glass-skin plan at our clinic

  1. Skin assessment. The doctor checks hydration, pores, texture and pigment under clinic lighting and asks about your routine.
  2. Repair first. Most plans start with Rejuran to support the barrier before we work on texture.
  3. Refine texture. Juvelook Skin, delivered needle-free with Mirajet Forte, targets fine texture and lines on the next visit.
  4. Pores and shine. Skin Botox is added where oily T-zones and open pores scatter light.
  5. Home routine. We give you a short, gentle routine and follow up on Instagram as results build.

Keeping the glass-skin effect

  • Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, even on cloudy days
  • A gentle cleanser and a plain moisturiser rather than many layers
  • No scrubs, retinoids or acids for a few days after injections
  • A maintenance booster every few months, if you want it

Possible side effects

Injected boosters can leave small bumps, redness or the odd bruise for a day or two; our Zero-Bruise delivery aims to reduce this. Results build gradually, so plan important events at least 2 weeks after a session.

Frequently asked questions

Can I really get glass skin in one visit?

One booster visit usually makes skin look more hydrated within days, but texture and pores improve over several weeks. Most patients see the fuller effect after 2–3 sessions.

How much does a glass-skin plan cost in Seoul?

It depends on the boosters. Zero-Bruise Rejuran 2cc is ₩300,000 and Skin Botox from ₩300,000; see all skin booster prices. Prices exclude 10% VAT.

Is glass skin possible with large pores or acne scars?

Skin can look much smoother, but pores will not disappear. Deeper scars usually need resurfacing such as Fraxel before boosters.

Does it hurt?

We apply numbing cream first. Most patients describe injected boosters as brief stinging; Mirajet Forte delivery of Juvelook Skin is needle-free.

I am only in Seoul for 10 days. What can I do?

Usually one booster visit early in your trip, then a second if your dates allow. Message us your dates on Instagram and we plan around them.

How long does the effect last?

Hydration effects are shortest; collagen-based changes typically last several months. Many patients keep results with a maintenance booster 2–4 times a year.
